Artist's Description
A vintage drink coca cola in bottles advertisement on a brick wall in Okemah, Oklahoma. Sprite boy was introduced in 1942, decades to their drink Sprite. From 1942 to 1953, Sprite boy an elf-like cartoon figure was on all types of Coca-Cola merchandise and advertisements.
He was ultimately phased out in 1958. While Coke decided not to bring him back, in 1961 they premiered Sprite to match 7-up. Since they already had the copyright on Sprite it was an easy name choice.
