St. Mary's Grotto is also known as Our Lady of Highway 281, located at the bottom of the hill of St. Mary's Catholic church in Windthorst, Texas. It was built to ensure the safe return of WW II soldiers. Today it's a Veteran Memorial for all out men and women who serve, have served and to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
