Artist's Description
A jilted jalopy that has seen better days. Headlights gone, flat tires and no seats would make driving it difficult. But a worn out motor makes it dog gone impossible! All-in-all it's not in bad shape for being over 80 years young.
Sitting off Route 66 between other old cars, made capturing this jilted jalopy a real challenge. None-the-less in my minds eye this would make a great black and white or sepia image. Plus the light was just too perfect to pass up.
I quickly attached my ultra-wide angle lens, composed it to have a decent crop and took the shot. Readied for another shot and the sun ducked behind the clouds. Dangit! As it was, only 1 shot was needed. Love the depth the final edit has and added grain for that old-timey look.

Black and Whites. Call me old fashion, but I think photographs are more striking with the absence of...
