Artist's Description

After spotting this steeple some distance away, I meandered through the streets of Okmulgee to its location. At the time, there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Though disappointed, a few shots were taken and I moved on.

There's some great things to see in this Oklahoma small town. While about to leave to press on my journey, I noticed a few clouds. Time to head back to St. Anthony's Catholic Church and perhaps have a few clouds about.

Still blue sky, but a thunderhead was beginning to build behind the glorious bell tower. People driving by were probably wondering why I just stood there looking up into the heavens with camera/tripod in hand. Yet this cloud built quickly and was tumultuous to say the least.

Finally the wait was over and the ascending cloak was higher than the steeple. The clouds began forming all around, it was now or never. No sooner had I put camera and tripod away to continue on when the skies opened up with a downpour. Timing definitely is every...
