Description
2 Guns ruins in Arizona has a lot of history that dates back over 900 years. In 1922 it was made into a tourist area by Earle and Louise Cundiff. Then in 1925 a guy who called himself Chief Crazy Thunder leased some of the land and built a zoo with snakes, mountain lions and more. The following year he shot Cundiff dead in cold blood.
What brought fame to 2 Guns was the horrific slaughter of Apache and Navajo natives. In 1878, an Apache raiding party attacked a Navajo village killing 25 and kidnapping 3 girls. The Navajo tribes found them deep below the surface in a cave, which became known as the Death Cave.
After the Apache killed the girls, the Navajo's set fire to brush at the entrance of the cave. Those who attempted to climb out were shot. When the screams went silent, 42 Apache's were dead...
